For most styles of timber bed frame, we can customise the length of the legs to better suit your space. Furthermore, for wooden bed frames with headboards, the headboard can be adjusted with respect to the height of your mattress. To complete production, a low-tox, plant-based stain is carefully applied by hand that highlights the natural beauty of the Tasmanian hardwood.

Able to integrate with a variety of style preferences, the Huey timber bedside tables never lose their own character and beauty. To complete the look, the Tasmanian Oak is finished with a low-tox, plant-based stain of your choice to protect the timber and provide the desired colour.
In addition to the convenient space atop the bedside table for a reading light or your latest book, every timber bedside table comes with an accessible shelf for open storage. If you prefer a more discreet design, a push-release drawer can be installed in the shelf.
Sustainably Sourced Timber
Tasmanian Oak - This beautiful native timber can be found across our timber furniture range and constitutes the majority of our timber bed frames and timber bedside tables. Sustainably sourced, the timber is certified and harvested with respect to Forest Stewardship Council and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification guidelines. The Oak is untreated and is instead kiln dried for strength, avoiding any harmful chemicals in production. Sourced responsibly from certified forests in Victoria.
Untreated Radiata Pine - This select grade pine is a core component of our Lo-line timber bed bases and is sourced from Australia and New Zealand. In keeping with our belief in only using the finest, low-tox materials, this timber is untreated and natural. For structural integrity and to kill any pests or microbes, the pine is simply kiln dried.

A double mattress is 137cm wide and comes in two lengths, the standard 188cm or a longer 193cm for taller sleepers. Because every mattress is made to order, we can confirm the exact size with you before we build it.
No, latex tends to sleep cooler than memory foam. Its open cell structure lets air move through the mattress rather than trapping heat against you, and the natural wool layer helps regulate temperature, so it stays comfortable on warmer nights as well as cold ones.
A well-made natural latex mattress can last 15 to 20+ years, considerably longer than most conventional spring mattresses, because latex is durable and holds its shape over time. A little care extends that further. Checking the underside for moisture and using a slatted base for airflow will get you the most years out of it.
A double comfortably suits one person who likes room to spread out. Two adults can share one, but at 137cm wide it gives each person around 68cm, which is narrower than a single bed. If you sleep two every night and want more space, a queen is usually the better choice. A double is ideal for solo sleepers, guest rooms and smaller bedrooms.
